Though no final word yet, Washington appears to be on track to approve marriage equality as well

WE WORE PURPLE TODAY, OCT. 19, TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST BULLYING!
Here is me and some of my close friends wearing purple. They have been really eager to help me out with this pictures. I have also been able to inform other friends why we wore purple and it was amazing to see them wanting to join and sad to be unaware of this. :)
Well, the only conversion done by a gay person (me) here is turning straights (all of my friends here are straight) into allies, just to make it clear that’s the only “conversion” I can make.
I want to thank to all of my friends who joined me today as well as others who supported me. They are simply so dear to me and I really appreciate their help today.
P.S. I am the one who is holding the paper with “I am against bullying” text, it was an instant idea so I know it kinda looks simple, just in case any of you wonder.
Help Coming Out Journal for Spirit Day Imagery!
Hello folks,
I was thinking about what to do as imagery for spirit day, like the one I did for National Coming Out Day and then I came up with idea “why not ask amazing people of tumblr to help?” :)
So what I want is you to:
See, quite easy. :) The submissions until Oct. 18 (4 p.m. CET) will be used for the imagery and imagery will be published on Oct. 18 (10 or 11 p.m. CET).
The aim is to encourage people to wear purple on Oct. 19, spirit day, to stand up against bullying and to speak out for LGBTQ* youth.
Submissions that are received after that day will be published as photosets so don’t think that your submission will not be published at all.
You may ask “why to get featured in an imagery?” - well simply to show your support and be part of Coming Out Journal’s post to encourage people.
Please also do note that it may not be possible to use all submissions for the imagery, even in the case of being submitted before Oct. 18, in case of high number of images. If that happens, submission dates will be taken into consideration.
Hoping to see some of you getting excited for the idea and already picking up some purple clothes for taking pictures. :)
Thanks for your support and help already!
- Arda
October 11 is National Coming Out Day!
Thus, I encourage you to share your coming out stories. It will help people who struggle coming out, it will let ones who are feeling alone to discover they are not alone; this will simply spread support, hope and courage.
Your stories can help people, so submit now. :)
Have a splendid National Coming Out Day and Don’t Be Afraid to Show Off Your True Colors!
- Arda
